Stand Alone Power Systems

At Stand-Alone Power Systems, we’ve spent almost two decades helping Queenslanders and Australians take control of their energy. Whether you’re building a new home in the bush, living on a rural property, or managing a remote agricultural site, we design and install off-grid solar systems that are built to last.

We don’t do cookie-cutter solar kits. Every system we install is custom-designed, based on your daily energy use, location, appliances, and long-term goals. If you’re serious about energy independence — and want to minimise or eliminate grid and/or generator use — you’re in the right place.

Distinguished and Famous people from Nathalia

🏉 Brendon Parker

Brendon Parker’s football journey began at Nathalia, where he won the club’s best-and-fairest award as a teenager. After success at Tongala, he reached Carlton and played five AFL matches across 1992 and 1993. His later career included North Adelaide and coaching before a return to Nathalia in 2004. Back with the Purples, he became an influential forward during a remarkable run of local premiership success. The short AFL record tells only part of the story: his years in country football carried achievements and community significance of their own. Nathalia was both the starting point and the place to which a much-travelled player returned.

🏛️ Sir Frank Selleck

Frank Selleck was born at Nathalia in 1895 into a milling family. He moved to Melbourne, worked in the Victorian Audit Office and served in the First World War, receiving the Military Cross. Accountancy, cinema interests and municipal politics followed. As Melbourne’s lord mayor from 1954 to 1957, he helped prepare and promote the city during the 1956 Olympics. He had also been an early treasurer of Melbourne Legacy. The formal honours did not apparently require endless ceremony: despite his military background and knighthood, he asked uniformed council attendants to stop saluting him.
